Prest is 1,478 metres above sea level and offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Aurlandsfjord. We start our tour from Flåm with a drive up to the trailhead. And here the adventure begins! This is a family-friendly hiking tour, which is not very long or too demanding, but parts of the path are steep and there are sheer drops off the sides at times. You’ll need sturdy walking shoes/trainers and outdoor activewear. Also, bring a bottle of water. The trip to Prest is around 2.5 kilometres long and you should expect to spend just over 3 hours for the hike itself and 1 hour getting to the starting point and back to Flåm. Our guide will accompany you throughout the whole journey and will introduce the area and its history to you. Don’t hesitate to ask as many questions as you want. Once we’ve arrived at the top viewpoint: inhale, exhale, feel the power of nature around, capture this moment – make a mental picture or shoot a selfie, and we’re ready to go back.
On our way back we'll stop by the famous Stegastein viewing platform with a panoramic view 650 metres above Aurlandsfjord.
