Flåm, the gateway to the Aurlandsfjord

The town of Flåm is small, and the perfect gateways for active adventures in the fjord landscape. 

This village by the Aurlandsfjord is a hub for adventures in the Sognefjord region. It is connected by the Flåmsbana Railway and the main road between Oslo and Bergen. Flåm is a great place to stay if you want to explore the UNESCO world heritage Nærøyfjord, the Aurlandsfjellet mountain or just take in the spectacular landscape. 

In Flåm you will find museum, bakery, a local brewery and restaurant. You may stay at Fretheim hotel or at the local campsites.

Njord is located here due to the amazing scenery. The fjord is well suited for kayaking, and the beach by the Njord basecamp is also a perfect place to hang out during hot summer days.
